Wilkie Prudfoot
Wilkie Proudfoot is a young talent to keep an eye on. As you can see here, his distinctive and deliberate brush strokes are a powerful language of his works. His passion lies in portraits which are bold, expressive and full on energy. Thick brush stroke and vibrant colour explore the complexity of human expression, drawing inspiration from artists such as Malcolm T Liepke, Gregory Manchess and Shaun Tan. Each work captures a sense of immediacy - the feeling of being alive in the moment. As a Wellington based artist he is currently studying Screen Arts, majoring in Animation at Massey University.
